Primeiro, já vou dizendo que eu nunca tinha assado nada além de cookies de chocolate. Então eu tenho essa desculpa pro resultado.
Meu desafio era assar um Irish Soda Bread. Mesmo tendo duas semanas pra me planejar, deixei pra fazer ontem à noite. Ainda bem que eram poucos ingredientes, mas precisei substituir o leitelho por leite e iogurte. Aí escolhi um iogurte com aveia.
First of all, I'm gonna start by saying that I had never baked anything but chocolate cookies before. This is my excuse for what comes next.
Right, my challeng was to bake an Irish Soda Bread. Although I had twoo weeks to plan, I ended up doing it all last night. Thankfully, it just needed a few ingredients, but I had to use a substitute for buttermilk: milk and yogurt. I chose a yogurt with bits of oat in it.
Eu vi que a textura estava errada, mas continuei com o meu pão. Só que eu tive que trocar de assadeira porque eu tinha esquecido de untar! Que mico =(
I knew the texture was all wrong, but went on with my bread. Then I had to change pans because I'd forgotten to grease it! Shame on me =(
O fundou queimou um pouco porque o forno estava quente demais. E o pão acabou ficando pesadão em vez de fofo.
The bottom burned out a little because the oven was very hot. And the bread turned out being sticky rather than light.
No fim, ele está gostoso e não ficou nem salgado nem doce. Ele combina com manteiga e queijo e até com sopinha de legumes =)
In the end, it tastes good, neither salty nor sweet. It goes well with butter and cheese and even vegetable soup =)
